Laura Tabakman is a fiber artist and a polymer clay artist with an inventive approach to combining materials and techniques to create jewelry, mixed media sculptures, and art installations.
She has a passion for experimenting and working with different approaches to these materials – especially those that are sheer and translucent. Her personal work and creative process with polymer clay is mesmerizing – making you wonder…”How did she think of that?” and, “How did she do that?”
In addition to her own art, she is perhaps best known in the worldwide clay community as one of the lead artists/curators of the 2017 international collaborative exhibition, Into the Forest.
She is an award-winning studio artist, whose work has been shown in exhibitions nationally and internationally and has been featured in books and magazines.
